Chainsaw Carving Services
I carve in the shadow of the Sleeping Giant in the Brecon Beacons, just outside Dan Yr Ogof Caves, as well as carving onsite in various locations. The work undertaken can range from whole trees to tree stumps right down to logs.
As an internationally recognised artist with such a diverse variety of designs and carvings, pricing will depend on customized specifications i.e. Overall size, Design and time. Once all prerequisites have been talked over, an accurate price can be given. On both public and private commissions large and small, I work closely with clients to fulfill their ideas. The energy and ideas that you have regarding your piece will be mirrored by myself as we go from conception to completion of the design. I can also create interior pieces for homes and businesses, using a combination of chainsaws and power tools to produce inspiring and Tree Mendous pieces of art.
All wood is sustainably collected. Every carving and sculpture made a tree gets planted.
Everything the Power of the World does is done in a circle. The sky is round, and I have heard that the earth is round like a ball, and so are all the stars. The wind, in its greatest power whirls. Birds make their nest in circles, for theirs is the same religion as ours. The sun comes forth and goes down again in a circle. The moon does the same and both are round. Even the seasons form a great circle in their changing, and always come back again to where they were. The life of a man is a circle from childhood to childhood, and so it is in everything where power moves.

By working entirely with chainsaws and power tools this reflects on the Native American Philospohy above everything in circles. No hand tools are used such as chisels, (they go in a straight line) apart from the occasional hammer and crow bar to remove large stubborn pieces of discarded wood. The speed in which carvings can be created appeals to my own sense of instant gratification even when they take days or weeks to produce.
